Facilitate an awareness of existing community services and improve referral processes
Identify gaps, needs, and duplications in newcomer services, skills & employment
Support & implement projects and initiatives to address those gaps where possible
Provide consultation to government, businesses and organisations on matters relating to newcomers.

NEWCOMER INTERAGENCY
NETWORK
The Newcomer Interagency Network (NIN) is a network of organisations and employers in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo committed to working together to enhance the lives of newcomers to our community. It was created to share expertise, enhance collaboration between agencies, and support projects and initiatives to better meet the needs of newcomers to the region.
The NIN has over 39 different agency members led by a Steering Committee. Members attend meetings once a month, provide feedback and input on initiatives, discuss challenges they are facing and receive free training and resources through NIN initiatives.
